  • Welcome to Part 1 which consists of 4 videos totaling over 4  hours of tuition.

Proceed and complete each section, before commencing onto the next segment- Absorb ,assimilate ,then practice the methods at each stage of the course.

Syllabus Part 1:

JoJo will take you through each segment:

  • Preparing your dummy to be draped
  • Sizing up your dummy to the next size or to your body measurements
  • Draping on a real figure

Chapter 2,3 and 4

  • Teaches you how to drape a waist and hip block
  • How to sew various seam finishes without an over locker
  • Balance and Fitting issues
  • A unique way of gluing the waist block and hip  block together without a sewing machine
  • Dart manipulation – how to transfer darts into different positions
  • JoJo explains in micro details the how’s and why’s of draping and creating the foundation dress blocks that in part 2 will be developed into a classic sheath dress.
  • Equipment and tools needed for the course:

    • Dress form /Dummy or a real figure
    • Sewing machine Overlocker (optional)
    • Sewing threads
    • Hand stitching needles
    • Pins
    • Fabric
    • Chalk
    • Tape measure
    • Pens, pencils and Sharpie
    • Rulers (various lengths up to a metre)
    • L square
    • Invisible zip
    • Scrap lining or lightweight fabric
    • Iron, masking tape
    • 8 or 10 inch scissors
